Crave Workout Variety? Try Gymondo’s Open Training Program

Crave variety? After all, variety is the spice of life (and fitness). Believe it or not, variety can make or break your progress. If you do the same exercises over and over again, your body adapts. As a result, your progress slows down and you stop losing weight or building muscle. That’s why it’s so important to keep your workouts varied.

Luckily, workout variety has never been easier. Gymondo’s Open Training program (formerly called “My Goals”) provides a varied training plan to keep your workouts fresh and get you the results you want.

How Does Open Training Work?

When you sign up to train with Gymondo, we’ll recommend specific programs based on your fitness level, goal and preferences. For example, if you’re new to fitness and want to gain strength and increase your flexibility, we might recommend Yoga Basics or Pure Pilates. And of course, you can start either of those programs individually or train the two programs simultaneously—it’s up to you. Then, you pick the days you want to train and we’ll provide new workouts from one or both of those programs on the days you’ve chosen to work out.

But, you also have the option to choose our Open Training program, which adds even more variety to your training.

Let’s say you want to mix HIIT with Yoga and Pilates? Or, maybe you want to lose fat and get toned. Whatever your goal, fitness level or preference, we’ll hand-select the perfect individualized workouts to get you the results you want.

It’s simple. You react—it adapts. Working out has never been more personalized and unique thanks to Open Training.

Why Mix Up Your Workout Routine?

The human body has an amazing ability to adapt to new stimuli. For example, when you just start to work out, you’ll notice rapid results from one week to the next. As time goes by, your progress gets slower and slower until it nearly stops. You’ll no longer lose fat at such a rapid rate and your muscles stop growing as quickly.

Over time, your muscles start adapting to the stresses placed on them. Whether you’re running, cycling or weight training, you’ll hit a plateau sooner or later. The only way to prevent this from happening is to diversify your fitness routine. This can be done by:

  • Trying new exercises and fitness programs
  • Changing workout variables (intensity, duration, number of reps and sets, rest periods, range of motion, etc.)
  • Increasing the load (amount of weight)

Open Training is your answer to diversifying your fitness routine and keeping your body from hitting a plateau. See for yourself—try Open Training today!

The Benefits of Open Training

It’s not uncommon to try new workouts or learn new movements. The objective is to mix and match exercises, change workout variables and spice up your fitness routine. This approach helps to prevent plateaus and boost your overall fitness level.

Workout variety speeds up your progress and helps you reach your fitness goals. Programs like Open Training may assist with:

  • Faster weight loss
  • Improved body composition
  • Improved cardiovascular fitness
  • Increased motivation
  • Reduced risk of injury
  • Increased flexibility and range of motion
  • Increased speed and agility
  • Improved reaction time
  • Stronger bones and joints

And let’s face it—trying new workouts is fun! No matter how much you love one activity, you’ll eventually get bored doing it. Unless you switch it up and try something new, sooner or later you’ll lose motivation.

Put It Into Practice

The best way to avoid a fitness plateau is to continuously vary your workout routine. As you can see, it’s not difficult to add variety to your training with Gymondo’s Open Training Program. With Open Training, you can continue to challenge yourself and enjoy the health benefits that a diverse fitness routine provides. Explore new fitness options and reap the benefits of adding workout variety to your fitness routine!
