Nicolas slowly saw the scale rising. It soon hit the 220-pound mark. At this point, he decided it was time to change his life with Gymondo’s nutrition plans and fitness programs. By cooking healthy recipes and working out a few times a week, Nicolas has completely transformed his body.
What made you decide to try Gymondo?
“I no longer had any stamina and would have extreme lower back pain every now and then when playing soccer. I’d also get pain in my knees. In one match, I was really in a lot of pain and didn’t feel well at all. I then took my current “before” photo, so I could look back at it whenever I needed a reminder.
“I had seen the Gymondo ads on TV many times but it was only then that I realized how much I needed to do something. So that’s when I decided to sign up.”
What made you commit to it?
“I really wanted to become stronger and faster, especially in soccer. I also wanted to feel better. Because of my motivation, Gymondo’s nutrition plan was relatively easy for me to stick to.”
What did your nutrition plan look like?
“I like to cook at home and create my own recipes. I eat a lot of turkey, beef, fish and vegetables, and add lots of spices—chili, hot mustard, wasabi, etc.
“I eat very little dairy or bread and I don’t eat sweets anymore. I’ve actually lost my cravings for them. When I’m hungry for a snack, I cook up something based on the Gymondo food list. But the most important thing is water. I drink 2-4 liters of water a day.”
Which Gymondo program did you start with?
“At first, I didn’t do any program. I concentrated on my food since I was already doing sports regularly with soccer. I lost 10 pounds just by changing how I ate. After that, I started with Gymondo’s HIIT program, Burn.”
What did the program do for you?
“With Burn, I lost the remaining 30 pounds and have really powered up my training.”
What do the results look like?
“I easily lost 40 pounds in 8 months and I’m still losing weight. I can now wear medium-sized shirts and my jeans size has gone from a size 34 to a size 31. My stomach is almost flat, but my body is getting more and more defined.”
What has been your biggest success?
“To finally see 175 on the scale. Before I started my fitness journey, I’d skipped right past the 175-pound mark and suddenly found myself weighing in at 200 pounds!”
What advice can you share with others?
“Don’t stress yourself over it. The whole thing takes time. Your body needs time and you can’t do all of this overnight. But always stay motivated! And never give up!”
How do you continue to stay motivated when your progress slows?
“As I said, I didn’t have any problems sticking to the nutrition plan. However, I would occasionally miss a Gymondo workout or two due to soccer. But I stayed committed and made up for my missed workouts on my rest days.”
How long did it take to achieve your current weight?
“I started to change my diet in 2015 and have stuck with it to this day. I’m still losing weight.”

What tip can you share with others who want to lose weight?
“It’s best to get someone to provide support. In my case, my mom does the shopping and tailors it to my diet. Find someone who wants to lose weight with you. Never give up and don’t hang your head if you slip. It’s not always easy, but if you don’t stress out over it, it’s not that difficult either. Keep calm and never lose motivation.”
